SPlugins Movie Textures for Mobile Devices

    Im trying to get movie textures to play on a mobile device (yes, it is possible). This plugin has good reviews and apparently gets the job done. Using it i can get the texture to import in my Android build, but my video is sadly just displayed as a white sphere. I cannot figure out how to get the video to play on my mobile device. Has anybody ever gotten this plugin to work correctly?

    Can you hear the sound from your video? Did you try a smaller / another video ?
    I have been using Easy Movie Texture for video playback on Android.

    Easy Movie Texture works with video and Cardboard SDK. However, if targeting Gear VR it seems like Easy Movie Texture is no go. Still awaiting MediaSurfacePlugin or something like that with first party support for VR in Unity.

    reddo, i did make EMT work on Gear VR. 2D, 3D and 360 worked fine.
    I have also made a little tweak to make vignette effect so edges would smoothly blend like in NextVR app and used a curved plane to curve the video.
