Ok, i know there is another post on this but it didn't explain anything. I have a texture and when i try to paint it it says that. What must be the power if two? What numbers should i use?

OK, am i just being stupid? i just want to know what numbers are supposed to be the power of 2... because the power of 2 is 2n or 2*2/2*3 and so on... but those don't work or make sense

the of 2 is 2^n so 64,128,256,512, ... as mentioned before.
    not 2*n only chains of 2 * 2 * 2 * ...

what you list there, 2*n, is multiplies of 2, which is not remotely the same (not even of the same polynomial order and complexity)

no idea who your math teacher was but obviously he would deserve a grade thats lower than the one you likely got with that in polynomial equation exams ;)

The texture that you are using to splat must be a square texture (must have the same width and height, I am pretty sure) and the number of pixels along the width and height must be a power of two.

This means that you can only use the following resolutions for your texture:

    • 2x2
      4x4
      8x8
      16x16
      32x32
      64x64
      128x128
      256x256
      512x512
      1024x1024

my problem is "texture size must be power of two" none of the previous fixes work ( this is in the add terrain texture menu)
