I just discovered spine and I was wondering if anyone knew what advantages there were to animating in Spine vs Anime Studio. They both seem to do the same things on the surface. Any thoughts?

Both have their own perks but from my experience spine offers far easier ways of exporting files as well as the interface being generally easier to understand. It's also really good with lower resolution images whereas Anime Studio would be better for creating things like animated cut scenes or larger animated assets, as it general is really good with vector art.

Anime Studio is my favorite, because I can export as FBX
I can use it like a 3D Game Objects
Also AS can handle pixelbased Images .
Since the last Update it has a Bone Pen . a big Timesaver for tentacle stuff

A Hint , In Unity I use additional dynamic Bones (from asset store) that make the the secondary move automatically .
