Some terrain tools not showing after installing the terrain tool package

hi guys,
i've installed the terrain tools package from the unity asset store and imported it to my scene, and some of the tools (like "Stroke" and "Brush Mask" simply don't appear in my inspector. that also includes KB shortcuts not working and some other stuff.
basically i only got the extra brushes with the package, and textures.
i uploaded a screenshot of my inspector.

i will say that while importing the package i had some folders un-ticked, and when i tried to select them as well they got instantly un-ticked back for some reason.

any ideas on how to import everything? the tools i'm missing are pretty much the only reason for me to get this package.
