    Well i'm actually having the same issue but with my Xiaomi 9C device. Not sure if I can actually do this with a Xiaomi device, but as it's an android device I'm pretty sure it's possible. I've tried all of the above posible soutions but none of them working so far. I can't even find the way to run Android Studio, as if it was not already installed. As far as I know, I've installed all the required SDK for Unity and Android Studio, but nothing seems to work for me. Any thoughts?

    Wow this is the only thing that worked for me, unchecking, pasting a path and then rechecking! how did you come up with this. But however you did it, thank you very much!

    I've been trying to get Unity Remote 5 working for 2 days now. This is by far the most in depth thread I have found and thank you all so much for your advice but so far still nothing is working.

    I am using:
    Unity Version: Unity 2020.1.4f1
    Device: Huawai P30 lite
    Device software version: 10.0.0.365

    I have Android Build Support and accompanying OpenJDK and SDK&NDK installed via Unity Hub specifically for version 2020.1.4f1

    I have installed Android Studio and installed Google USB Driver Version 13 through it.

    I have put my phone into dev mode, turned on "Stay Awake", "USB Debugging", and changed "Select USB Configuration" to "Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP)" (which, FYI, reverts to "Charge Only" every time I unplug the phone).

    I have configured Unity to use "Any Android Device", and manually set the locations of the SDK, JDK, and NDK and checked that they all exist.
    One thing with the OpenJDK is that I couldn't find any "Window" folder in the OpenJDK location as per terresqualls blog suggests at this link

    I've tried using another device, and checking the devices are seen with adb. Neither phone works (though they are both the same phone) but both are recognised by adb along with an emulator "Emulator-5580 offline" don't know what it is but every time I kill the server and restart it, after a few seconds it pops back up.

    If anyone can help me please put me out of my misery, this is driving me totally insane!

    Im in the same boat trying to get this to work. I've tried every combination of USB settings on the phone, trying to update drivers, boot order for both unity/remote and still nothing. I feel like this is a huge problem for people developing mobile apps and games. If I want to actually test on mobile, I have to fully build, transfer the file, and reinstall. Its a waste of time that's been going on for at least a year now and a little ridiculous unity's devs can't figure this out yet.

    There is a "current platform" option on the project on unity hub, that must be set to android, not just the build type

    Its really difficult to make it works, but is working now, this is my config:
    upload_2021-3-15_22-3-11.png
    upload_2021-3-15_22-4-40.png

    Uncheck all and add a backslash at the end (in my case this is the final step that make it works)
    No google driver and no android studio installed, just unity and ADB driver.

    I stumbled across this article when looking for a way to do this. All I needed to do was set my preferred Device in Edit > Project Settings > Editor > Unity Remote > Device, to Any Android Device. On my phone, I needed to enable USB debugging in developer settings (if you don't see it, you may need to unlock it) and allow my computer to be used for debugging (it'll pop up when you connect your device). I'm still using Unity's built in SDK, JDK, etc.

    I was having a similar issue as everyone here but what worked for me was going to File>Build Settings
    upload_2021-11-11_16-3-8.png
    I switched Platforms from PC/MAC to Android:
    Selecting my device (Lge LM K300)
    Pressing Build

    After some Unity Loading time I checked my project again, and in the Game window
    upload_2021-11-11_16-4-41.png
    I had an option to choose Remote as my game screen, and while everything was connected I pressed Play and was able to preview my game on my phone! Hopefully this helps someone else out there. I was just about to give up, its pretty tough setting up android preview. I was just gonna export an SDK build file onto my phone manually lol

    Don't fail to reset both your computer AND your phone. This alone has fixed my Unity Remote 5 connection issue twice now even after it had previously been working

    You're the best. Only thing that made Unity Remote work for me. Incidentally, it also solved my problem of not being able to interact with the UI when using the Simulator, so now I don't even need Remote...

    Best to undock the Game tab in advance so the rest of Unity is still accessible (be able to see the hierarchy, etc.).

    Hi, I have this problem regularly every now and then, and each time I head to this page to search for a solution, so I figured I would write what I found out works after all the times my phone, my pc or Unity doesn't want to cooperate.

    Make sure to check various things:
    1. USB Debugging - The "USB debugging" option should be active on your phone when connected, and in "File transfer" mode (if the "Allow ADB debugging in charge only mode" developer option is active you should either disable it or switch USB mode to "Charging only"): you should be able to see if both "File transfer" mode and "USB debugging" are currently active on your phone;
    2. Authorize your PC for USB debugging - If it is the first time connecting your phone to your PC with "USB debugging" mode enabled, or if you pressed the "Revoke USB debugging authorizations" button on your phone's developer options, you should authorize your PC: to do so, you should execute a program on your PC that requires the "USB Debugging" option to be enabled (which should NOT be the Unity Editor, not even if you press Play and open the "Unity Remote 5" app on your phone), I usually open the "Android Logcat" directly in Unity and just check if it runs correctly (to access it, just download the "Android Logcat" package from Unity's "Pakage Manager", then, when installed, run it with "Window > Analysis > Android Logcat"), if it does, then your PC was correctly authorized to access your phone with USB debugging;
    3. Check if Unity's Android modules are installed - The installed Unity version should also have the "Android build support", "Android SDK & NDK tools" and "OpenJDK" modules installed;
    4. Check the build platform of your project - In Unity, with your project opened, the build platform in the "Build Settings" (from "File > Build Settings") should be "Android": if the current platform is NOT android, click on "Android" and then click on "Switch Platform" (if you can't see the "Android" tab over the other options, like "PC, Mac & Linux standalone" or "WebGL", go back to point 3 and make sure the referenced modules are installed);
    5. Unity Remote's selected device - Make sure that in "Edit > Project Settings > Editor", under the "Unity Remote" tab, the "Device" is set to "Any android device" or to something different than "None";
    6. Wait just a little bit more - Give Unity some extra time after clicking on "Play" with the "Unity Remote" app opened and ready on your phone, even if the game already started playing 30 or more seconds ago in the editor;
    7. Dumbness check - Make sure your phone is plugged in your PC (yes, for real, you're never too sure);

    And that's most of what I usually use to wake up my phone, my PC and Unity and start seeing my game run in my phone.

    Hope it helped some of you :)

    CommandInvokationFailure: Unity Remote requirements check failed
    C:\Program Files\Unity\Hub\Editor\2020.3.39f1\Editor\Data\PlaybackEngines\AndroidPlayer\SDK\platform-tools\adb.exe forward tcp:7201 tcp:7201

    I tried everything but somehow I couldn't manage to run Remote. Finally it gave this error.
