In "RogueLife", from the player point of view, the character is travelling down a curve plane.
    [Shown in the thumbnail attached]

My question will be how to achieve that view,
    - is the character travelling down a curve plane?
    - or the camera give us the impression that the world is curve?

If it's the camera that give us the impression that the world is curve, WHAT IS THE TECHNICAL NAME FOR IT because i will like to go research how to make one.

IMO they simply arrange meshes on a wheel. Certainly they don't bend projections. XD

There is a shader that does exactly this.
I will try to find a link at some point and edit this post.

I dont know if thats what they did in the example though as I am a complete newb with shaders.

There's a long unity tutorial (5 hours or so, it was a unity event) that goes into shaders, and there the y show you exactly this shader (it's easiest to google unity animal crossing shader btw)
