(SOLVED) Error I can't download assets

PackageManager] Error System.InvalidOperationException: Failed to call Unity ID to get auth code.
UnityEditor.AsyncHTTPClientone(State, Int32) (at /Users/builduser/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Mono/AsyncHTTPClient.cs:246)

I posted this somewhere I can't find it. sorry for double post.
but I cannot download or update from asset store. I can import.
MacOS High Sierra
unity 2019.3.13f1
and previous versions

tried reinstalling unity and new projects it didn't work
ran the diagnostic all checks were green
firewall is off but just in case I turned it on and added unity hub and the editor then turned it back off.
I have no clue how to do the proxy test but I'm betting it won't work.
I downloaded to a old computer everything worked find so I deleted unity and everything else unity related on my new computer reinstalled unity and still have the problem

 

Sooo in my iMac network advance settings in proxies I unchecked them all. Actually Socks proxy was the only one checked and voila! Lord knows how it got checked in the first place.

By the way, your solution helped me to identify malware on my computer that was effecting my ability to send emails as well as hijacking my browser search engine. So thanks for helping fix all of that.

I just had this issue and all I did was log out of Unity HUB (and didn't log back in) and it instantly fixed it. I have more ongoing issues with the stupid package manager than any other part of the software.

 

dont you need hub to run unity tho?

 

In linux resetting iptables worked for me.

in my case indicated the following errors:

I just had to close the session in the hub and open it again.

I had the same problem. Closing the editor and restarting the Hub fixed it.

 

I just signed out and logged back in on unity hub and it works perfectly.

I had the same issue today and i also just needed to update unity hub.

 

I signed out of Unity Hub and then back in. Works now.

 

still finding assets that say "no download available" very cheeky considering Ive paid for them

 

A simple restart of the PC helped me.

 

You have to log in to your UnityID for it to work. I tried to log out of my Unity ID to reset my password and I now have this issue. Try signing into you Unity ID

In unity 2021.3 and unity hub 3.3 I signed out and signed in and it worked.

its so stressful figuring it out but when you get to fixed it then you will realize your problem is very simple and stupid how funny is that? lol mine is that i signed in to my unity account inside the project because i was signed out and i dont know why,and it fixed,

 

Just signing in to my unity account from unity editor solved my problem
