I am having trouble after importing the .fbx into unity. I am trying to build the player controller but when selecting to add the selected clip as a new state no motion shows up in the inspector. So I click on the button to the right of the motion to manually add in and it shows up under assets but still will not set the clip.

So the FBX has animation data on it, right?

Or did your FBX export settings have the option to export animation turned off?

Yes the it has all the animations just won't let me set the selected animation as the motion in Animator.

Also side note I bought the Chars from the asset store. They are the Elven girls and all the animations and models were exported from the original maker.

Is there anyway I can get the animations out of the .fbx and import them separate? I'm new to this and really having a tough time understanding this.

Figured it out. The animation type was set to legacy and some reason Unity was not letting me use them as a motion until I switched it to humanoid.
