[Solved] After enabling Collab, unity crashes on bootup everytime

    Is there a way to disable collab prior to starting up Unity? I enabled collab, and towards the end of the upload process Unity crashed. I am not sure if it completed or not, but now when I start Unity 2019.3.0f6, it crashes right when it opens. It also has a

    "TLS Allocator ALLOC_TEMP_THREAD, underlying Aallocator ALLOC_TEMP_THREAD has undreed allocations, size 44802" error

    Please let me know, on a time crunch to get the demo out by GDC, and this is worrisome

    I tried changing in ProjectSettings > Collab = 0
    but it still is enabled

    Hi @EdBoon, I'm sorry that you're having issues loading your Project. Our team is looking into this crash that you're experiencing and we'll report back when we have more information.

    In the meantime, to help unblock you, is there anyone on your team that is able to open the Project? If they can, then have them go into the Services Window, click on the Collaborate tab, then press the blue toggle button to disable Collaborate for the entire Project. That should allow you to open the Project without Collaborate enabled.

    Have you also gone onto the Dashboard website for your Project and verified that everyone on your team has a Teams seat assigned to them? You can verify this in the Settings/Users tab of your Project's Dashboard.

    Thanks for the quick reply,
    I will keep trying, I am the only developer as it is a solo project so unfortunately no one else can try to open at the moment. I enabled it to have a contractor do some lighting work, but I don't want him to mess with it while in this state.

    I copied the directory to a new folder and opened it as a new project, it is doing the initialization now, it's a big project, 25GB, so it will take a while. Meanwhile, trying to dig through the logs and error reports.

    Please let me know if you have any other troubleshooting ideas,

    adding in case any of this info helps:

    I deleted the library and opened and got it to not crash immediately, but still getting loads of errors that I wasn't seeing before:


    And any time i do anything in the scene window it crashes.

    Thanks for the additional info! Are you using the Unity Accelerator service, by any chance?

    No, I don't believe I turned it on.

    And oddly, I started up the project again and no errors, no crash. I'm glad to see it start but still very concerned considering I hadn't changed anything. Have there been many problems with could build enabled? because that was enabled as well

    Although, now I cannot archive the project due to the error: Unable to archive: project is locked because there is a commit or other archive operation in progress. (423)

    maybe it crashed in the middle of a commit?

    Thanks for checking, I am unblocked by the collab issue yes. Not sure what the resolution was, because it just seemed to work after restarting it a bunch. Now baking is a different story :) but I will save that for another thread. I'll update the ticket as well.
