    UPDATE: SOLVED:
The issue seems that for some reason a .psd file became set to CMYK, after the update (odd Im sure). Just switch it back to RGB

    ....
    Hi there,
I just set up a project in Unity 2017.1. This project, I had running fine on 5.6. My issue is that, a .psd file, now seem to at minimum lack any transparency that it did in the original file.

The file is a 256x256 logo (in .psd). So as you can imagine there are areas of empty pixelation. The logo itself is white, but where transparent areas did exist before, are now also white.

    Any ideas?

I have reimported the file, from another project, not updated to 2017.1, but it too has the same issues.

    Update.
...so I just tried to open the .psd in Gimp ( a Photoshop knock off), and it can not as it does not support the current setting of "CMYK". So it would seem somehow the .psd is not RGB, but now is CMYK.

    Any ideas?
