was easy just sent them a picture of my student ID from my university.

And I didn't even have a uni .edu email as yet or anything like that just used my gmail and my student ID card.
Not even from the US and still got it, pretty amazing thanks to the dude that recommended me to do this.

What I want to know now is, is this also possible with Unity PRO? to get Unity PRO for free as a student?

But then it would make no use for me since I would not be able to sell a game commercially without paying $1500 right? and the features I would have used would be of no use?

With Unreal 4 I dunno how it works, maybe I can do everything with student version and when I am ready just pay $20 for a commercial license and start selling my game yes?

Guys I am so happy about this, the UE4 is so amazing, blue prints scripting is really easy and quick to use I never seen anything like this in my life. But I must force myself not to use it as I need to learn C++ for school so I must use C++ in UE4 as its good practice. But it has some really super duper eye candy.

They have these complete projects on the UE4 marketplace like this cave demo you can download for free and you can edit it and alter it in anyway you want and sell it for real money. Its like having a pre built AAA demo to go on lol

I dunno but its like Unity PRO basically. I wonder if Unity guys would do something like UE4 for Unity 5 to compete?

and they got this one the subway also you can download for free and create a game out of it technically its already a game but I guess you add in all your own stuff

    ^ hmm ok then

Are you then in anyway impressed with what is achievable with UE4? and can we expect that level of Engine from Unity 5?

I'm more impressed by the amount of time you waste apparently switching your engine of interest. It wasn't too long ago you were asking questions related to Unity and before that to Unreal 4. Why don't you just make a game?

We all know about UE4, some of us have been using since last year.. Bit of a pointless thread chief.

I think it is great that WalkingDead shared this with the community and it is also great that UE4 is supporting students...If Unity does not want to support students then that is their business...The great thing about freedom of speech is that WalkingDead can share whatever he wants to....

Umm what? Unity pro student is £99.00 a year, I'm not sure why some people are so against using google?

No point in posting demos pretty much everyone has seen, especially on a UNITY forum. Ahh whatever, not like I particularly care. Not like were cutting down trees for paper, Just don't see the point..

It has already been shared multiple times. You simply weren't around at the time. The initial discussion revolving around Unreal 4 was 32 pages in length.

Eh? I thought you already got your grips on UE4 by saying that "the UE4 is so amazing, blue prints scripting is really easy and quick to use I never seen anything like this in my life."

"I never seen anything like this in my life" clearly he hasn't used UE4 if he has never seen it ;)

Studica has student commercial and non commercial licenses, there is also the free version of Unity which you can use for either.

I also don't think this conversation is going anywhere.
