So, how do you fix the roughness curve in the standard shader?

    It is 2018 and the same problem that Unity's PBR profile had at its inception- the overblown roughness curve of the metalness profile, is still there, untouched, seemingly without as much as an acknowledgement from the development team.

    I feel like I'm missing something obvious here, Unity technologies keep making custom shaders for all their demos, presumably because they realize how bad the built-in shaders actually are, yet nothing is getting done.
    Even the HD profile is shipping with the same issue.
    What gives?

    I remember there being a way to disable the marmoset toolbag roughness calibration in the configs, but that option seems to be missing in versions 2017 and above, with UnityStandardConfig not mentioning anything of the sort.

    Help?
