Sly Cooper Cane - Do you have an idea for possible variations of the cane/stuff?

    Hello folks,
    first of all, I'm sorry if I violate the rules in this area, please let me know if I do so.

    As some of you might know the awesome Jump and Run game Sly Cooper is about a raccoon and his friends and much more. Sly has only one weapon, which isn't really only a weapon, he uses it for climbing, swinging, etc. too.

    In my game I want that my main character also has such a cane/staff to use it as a weapon and to move better.
    Now I want to ask some of you, if you have some ideas how the staff/cane could look like (should be realistic, I mean that it makes sense that he can climb with it or hang on an edge).
    I don't want to copy the Sly Cooper look, even if it's perfect, I want a new design which is just comparable with the design of Sucker Punch Productions' version (the devs).
    I am even unsure if I only want a single cane or one for each hand.

    Why don't you try to do it for each hand that will look like an armored bracer with a curved blades which ones opposite to each other? It can be used like a weapon and a climbing tool tho.

    Sounds interesting, but I guess that I like the idea more that my character has something in his hands and not just an armor accessory. Nice suggestion though! I will keep that in mind anyway.

    I like a cane which look similar to this one (upper right corner, from this asset):


    But I found this one and it really looks like the cane from sly ^^

    But I hate the pharao thing :p

    Judging from your 2 poll choices......
    Since you're trying to decide, if it should be a one handed cane
    or a two handed long staff.

    Cane = 1 handed tool/weapon
    Staff = 2 handed tool/weapon

    Why not make the cane, with the ability to easily extend to a staff length
    and easily shrink back to cane length, whenever you need it.

    When it's short, it can be used as a one handed tool/weapon.
    And, whenever you feel to, the handle can extend to staffs length
    turning it, into a two handed weapon staff/staff tool.

    Just an idea I had, while working right now, on a staff wielding character for a game I'm working on, while reading your post.:)

    Yep. I agree. Glad you liked the idea.:D
    And I agree, the Pharaoh design thing sucks and is not my thing either. Lol.:p

    It would be cool when you could tell me if you find anything (a model, ...) that could be interesting for me, if you want :p
