Since 5.2 no display on Samsung S6

Since updating to 5.2, my screen remains resolutely black on my Samsung S6, it is not even showing the Unity splash screen.
It still works fine on my Z2 tablet, and even my Walkman. (Plus iOS version works fine on everything still.)

My app is just a flat 2d app, using UI stuff.
It's not crashing, just refusing to display anything (I can hear button clicks when I tap my black screen).

I'm new to unity, I've just been knocking something together in my spare time to see if I like it better than the cross-platform dev system I am currently having to work with. So I have really no idea where to look.

I'd been really impressed with Unity until this, I hope it is just something obvious that someone can advise me to check out.

    Ian.

    Having a similar issue.

Unity 5.2 APK works fine on multiple devices and just tested it on a new Samsung Galaxy S6 with fresh updates. Screen remains black but the audio plays in the background.

Once the Unity logo appeared and did not go away instead of the black screen while audio played. I can tell by the audio that it is progressing through multiple scenes. Tried rebooting the phone, clearing the cache and installing older versions of our APK (not sure of exact Unity version for them however) but the issue persists. I can hear and interact with the game screens and even managed to blind chicken my way to Unity Ads which did display but after I closed the Unity Ad I got my first visual of our games pre Unity Ads screen with the in game content active behind it.

Will keep digging in and post if I find anything helpful.

Can you submit a bug with a repro project attached please, and post the case number here.

In Unity Editor go to Help -> Report a bug

I don't have a good build to post demonstrating the issue that would be helpful at this time.

Since I had another developer building the game on their machine I decided to rebuilt an apk in Unity 5.2.03f with my build and I can now see the screens. No changes were made to the build so not sure what happened. Some assets are not drawing so not sure if this is related but I will keep digging and post a bug if I can verify it working properly on other devices.

    Hi

We are also facing same Issue with some of Galaxy family Devices like Galaxy S5 and newer devices. (its work perfect on Nexus, Galaxy S4, OnePlus, Motorola etc). We are using Unity 5.2.0f3

When We work with Unity 4.6.x that issue came with Nexus 7 Tablet and it solved out with uncheck "Use 32 bit Display buffer" from player setting of application. but for this issue that solution also not works.

I thought that issue due to Device GPU Galaxy S6 series has GPU from MALI, maybe mali is not support one these two (32 bit Display Buffer / Depth and stencil")

We have tried on another Galaxy Tab 10.1 with uncheck "User 32 bit Display Buffer" it will not work but we checked "User 32 bit Display Buffer" and "Disable Depth and Stencil" is work on that device.

I don't test yet on S6 and S6 Edge. but As I mentioned about Galaxy 10.1 has Adreno GPU and S6 has mali GPU.

I have tried my app on my Galaxy S5 and it works fine.
It is a 2D app built with Unity 5.2.0p1.
In 'Player Settings' -> 'Other Settings' I have unchecked 'Auto Graphics API' and added only 'OpenGLES2' to the 'Graphics APIs' listbox.
