Simple Pac Man Clone possible ? ( Noob Question )

    Hello guys !

    I am very interested in Unity and have downloaded the demo. Only a simple general question: Is it possible to create with Unity a simple 2D Game like Pacman or a Shooter like Space Invaders ? Or is Unity only focused on 3D Games ?

    Im just a noob, but 2d games are even easier than 3d with Unity! (you only have 2 axes for instance..)

    Yes it is quite easy to make 2.5D based games with unity.
    It seems some of the dashboard widgets in the contests use 2.5D and it can simplify game code quite a bit.

    I also think 2.5D games looks better in the widget form than full 3d does, I like to have full screen when doing 3d games.. But thats just me :roll:

    Yes. There are many things possible with Unity and a 2/2.5D game is certainly one of them. It may turn out to be even easier to code as Robertseadog said, as you only have to axis to deal with.
