    Hi,

I saw that there are some nice custom input manager around the web, but I decided to write my own version from scratch, to fit my needs.
You can find the full project on GitHub here: https://github.com/doomtrinity/InputManager

Setup is very simple and you will find a lot of comments in scripts, plus a sample scene to see how it works, anyway here a brief description of what it does.

This asset allows you to set up custom key binding at runtime - while playing. You can assign a 'physical' key to a virtual action code that you define. At the moment, you can only assign one key to an action code, this means that you cannot bind 2 physical keys to a single action.
Take a look at the scene InputTest, play it and you will be able to move the cube you see in the direction up-down-left-right with default keys WASD. Press esc to toggle the settings gui, which allows you to customize the keys for these movements action. Please note that you can actually bind all 'standard letter' keys, the arrow keys and mouse0/mouse1 buttons - take a look to the InputManager script to see all the physical keys that you can bind to actions.

    Feedback are welcome!
PS I hope this is the right forum section to post this stuff.

    Cheers!

This is a help asking forum, if you want to showcase your creation, move to WIP or Showcase forums (or assets store)

Whoops! I don't see any way to move thread so I guess the only way is to create a new on in the 'General - Asset and Asset Store' section - or wait for a moderator to move it? Thanks.
