Show the videofeed of a different application in unity

Hello,

i want to have the live video of a different programm in unity so i can use it as a background, kinda the same way obs captures game footage/application footage i couldnt find a suiting answer in google.

any help would be appreciated

 

Which platform do you need this to run on?

For Windows there's this package that can capture individual windows and another one that can grab the entire screen. Maybe these are useful for your use case.

 

the uwindowcapture package looked like what i was looking for but i couldnt resolve a missing DLL Exception, maybe its because i am still on win7 ^^

Maybe you can get away with using an older version if it must work on Windows 7.

 

oh thank you so much, it must only work for win7 until GPU prices have come down further
i gonna try the older version, thanks a lot for all the help
