Should I use Unity's Animator for a Finite State Machine or should I create my own FSM?

    I am really torn on this one. I am just creating a 2D platformer for practice.

    I'd go with their animator. You can experience the ins and outs of their system. If you want to create your own system, that will give you a better starting point because you know what you like or dislike about their system.
