Hi everyone. I think this is a pretty dumb question, but anyways, I'm making an RTS game, and should I show a mouse cursor for the mouse in my RTS game (like Starcraft), or go Halo Wars style and just lock the mouse cursor with a crosshair? Thanks to anyone who answers.

How do you box select units in an RTS without the mouse cursor? (I haven't played Halo Wars)

Thanks for the quick reply. Hmm, haven't thought of that. Looks like I'm going with the mouse after all!

I tried that once, back when I was using a Pentium Pro 150. I "acquired" a copy of Dragon Naturally Speaking, and tried playing Warcraft II with it. It didn't go well. I was able to beat original Doom's first level using only voice commands though :D

Doom 3 Fully Possessed mod (VR mod for Doom 3) uses that for running and weapon switching. Goes like this.

    Small Demon: Gyaaaaaaaa! *small fireball*
    Me: Soul cube. *Nothing happens*
    Big Demon: GRAAAAAAAAH! *big fireball*
Me: Soul cube! *I get hit by a fireball and something is definitely gnawing my ankles"
Me: SOUL CUBE! *it finally works*
