The player’s reflexes will be tested, as well as it wit and intellect as it navigate through this beautiful, colorful world helping Shiny in his search. All kinds of different animations let the player know how Shiny’s feeling. So the player will always know if Shiny feeling happy, concerned, tired or angry. That will help the player to solve the trickiest situations in the game. The player has to use it ability to shine skillfully: the babies can only follow Shiny when he is lit up, but that also makes him visible to his enemies…

Just got my new ipad mini and I'm downloading this right now.

I agree the graphics look great and I'm looking forward to playing later.

How long did this project take you to make and what sort of team size have you got?

One year. We founded the company (and started developing Shiny) in April 2012. Mainly 3 persons (2 artist and 1 programmer) plus an intern programmer since November. We outsourced the music and sounds to Eudardo de la Iglesia (http://www.eduardodelaiglesia.com).

    Pro version

You have to wait until she hits the ground. Once she starts hitting the ground some big stones falls. In one of these stones a small stone appears. Get and launch it to his tail (the small stone blocks the tail and impregnates it). Get again the small stone (check that now it is impregnated) and launch it to this head. Do this three times and you will defeat the wasp queen! :)

Excellent game guys! Thanks for the wall papers as well , whenever I see art work that grabs me I like to store them for artistic inspiration.

Before I get the game can I ask if it uses tilt controls or just touch gestures?

    Thanks

Downloaded the free version as i have no money at the moment, as soon as i do have money, ill purchase it.

The controls seem a bit tedious, having to tap everywhere, couldn't you implement a scheme where there is virtual controls on the screen?
Overall i loved the game, the art is amazing!

I have to disagree. I like the current controls. I think virtual controls on screen are the worst; they take up screen space and then their accuracy is just bad.

    Thanks goat!

Yes. As accuracy is important on Shiny we chose this instead of virtual controls. Also playing on tablets is easier. If you have Android take a look to MOGA controllers, you will play Shiny like in a console.

TouchArcade review by Karl! The review is sooooooo great!

    http://toucharcade.com/2013/06/08/shiny-the-firefly-review/

    - "I can honestly say this is the most emotionally linked I have been to a character in a videogame in a very long time"

    - "I have honestly been looking for something bad to say about this game but I can't find a single thing."

    - "Shiny The Firefly has it all – slick controls, puzzles, epic boss battles… but most of all, it has my heart. Awwww."
