    Heya.

I am having a strange problem. I am building my app for iPhone with Unity pro and my shared assets folder is 70 mb.
I cant seem to find out why. Has anyone else had this problem. Or know where to find out more info about what is going into this folder?

    Thanks,
    Chris

anything thats included in the build is in there, your images, models, sounds that you linked or that are in the resources folder

I have a similar question. I still don't know/understand. My assets folder in the project is 21mb large, all the materials, textures, prefabs, sounds, etc are there. When I compile the game, I get the .exe file with the size of about 8mb, and the folder projectname_Data that is 117 mb large.

    I notice three big files in projectname_Data folder - sharedassets0 (19mb), sharedassets1 (74mb) and sharedassets2 (15mb). How do exactly the 21mb of assets becomes 117mb?

Maybe the better question is - how to plan the size of assets to achieve the planned size of the game? Lets say, I want to make a game that is 50mb tops, and I'm ready to compromise with the quality of textures, sprites, etc. How much the Unity3d will "add" to it, and what should we pay attention to, in order to make it "lighter"?

nindza, it looks like you have 3 scenes included in the build, check your build settings and so if any unused scenes are ticked
