    Hi there,
Some of shadows are not working on some parts of my scene. The light is set for soft shadows. It's only working on some parts of the mesh.

You can see in the attachment, the shadows are coming from the hills, but not from the trees or columns. I have the same object loaded on my Apple computer (non HoloLens Unity Version) and all shadows work fine.

    Any ideas?

In your screenshot, the Shadow Type for your light is set to No Shadows. Is it possible that you've accidentally turned them off?

Agreed, but now it's set to soft shadows. You can see the shadows are only on the rolling hills, and not coming from the trees or columns.
    Any ideas why?

The hills seem to show shading rather than any self-shadowing. Have you verified that your terrain is set to receive shadows?

You mentioned that you see shadowing in this scene working properly with the non-HoloLens Unity version; which version are you using?

    Yes I have. Here's a screen shot.
Same scene loaded into 5.4.1f1 shows shadows.

Sorry - I meant which build are you using for HoloLens support?

I suspect this might be related to your default quality settings for Windows Store apps. By default, Fast and Fastest will disable shadows. Try opening up the quality settings (Edit->Project Settings->Quality) and see if manually changing the quality settings affects shadows.
