Bug Shadows disappear

    I am facing an issue when changing camera position and fov for more than shadow distance breaks shadow rendering on some latest Samsung phones tablet devices.

    They simply disappear and do not appear even after turning off / on directional light or switching shadows in the quality settings.

    However it works fine on old Galaxy S7 and editor under DX11 and opengl es3.

    Rendering path is set to deferred, changing shadow quality settings, ill2cpp/mono makes no difference.
    There is no special post-processing or image effect.
    This bug occurs in the latest versions of Unity LTS 2020 and 2021.

    Up, its still an issue. Any help from Unity team?

    if anyone wonder looks like this happens when camera switches for more than 1000 units distance then shadows becomes buggy

    Did you ever find a solution for this?
    I'm on Unity 2020.3 and experiencing a similar bug where the shadows disappear when the mesh is moved far away and the shadows don't come back even after moving the mesh closer again.

    the only way to fix this is to set the shadow distance to 0 when the camera and mesh are far away, and revert if needed when the camera is close.
