Shadows being cut

    Hi,

    I'm starting to play with Unity5 and I've got a weird issue with real time directional shadows. For some reason, they get cut on a regular interval: WeirdShadows.jpg WeirdShadows2.jpg
    I tried playing with normal and depth biais, changing back to hard shadows, playing with the number of cascades but those cuts are always there.

    Any hints on what I'm doing wrong?

    Fixed :)

    So I had a plane which, through the power of some global transform, was ending up measuring 5000x5000. This caused the issue. If I uncheck "cast shadow" and "receive shadow" on this plane to put it outside of the shadow pipeline, the problem goes away ...
