    Hi,

I'm running into some issues with cast shadows on certain objects. I want to make some buildings that have vertical columns protruding from the face but these protrusions are causing the shadows to miscast. I've attached an image of a simple and fully sewn object with the miscasting shadows along with the lighting settings. I'm using a forward directional light with linear settings.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Leito

On the mesh renderer for the object, change "cast shadows" to "two sided". If that doesn't help you can raise the normal bias of your directional light but having it too high will make shadows look wrong on objects with gradual curves.
