Visual Studio Community for Mac is not a good tool for editing shader files. It's slowly improving. Very slowly.

Sublime Text is better, but it's paid. Maybe I'll fork out the US$80 if it becomes a big deal, but for now I am not doing much custom shader writing.

Still, I'd like better support for formatting and syntax highlighting.

Does anyone have a good solution for this? Are there any good write-ups?

    Thanks.

I don't know why Unity supply a builtin editor to do this.
