    Hi,

I updated unity to the latest version (5.2.0f3) and since then every time I try to open an existing project or want to start a new one Unity freezes and a pop up says that Shader Complier stopped working. Is there a solution to fix it or should I go back to the previous version? Right now I can't use Unity at all, so thanks in advance for any help.

In Unity 5.2, particle shaders no longer receive view-dependent data, and a few changes have been made to global illumination. Check the 5.2 patch notes and ctrl+f for the word "Shader".

If any of your shaders make use of anything that has been changed, try modifying those shaders outside of unity or remove them from the project before loading it, that might just be enough to get the project to open.

The problem occurs even when I try to create a new project, so I don't think it is caused by a shader in my project but I'll take a look.

Yikes, I would reinstall and try an older version if that doesn't work.
