server?

I wrote a book on a mythical world, and so I thought it would be neat to try and make it a 3d visual experience as well. I chose Unity because after much research it was a good choice. My question is "Do I have to have pro in order to create a server for lets say a friend to run around on my world? I read the info on the asset server, and rite from the beginning it says you need pro. I tried to dig further to find out if I can with the free download version. So I was hoping I might get a little more of a clarified answer on the subject. I hope that made sense...

 

no you don't need pro. You only need pro if you intend to have servers that have no 3d graphics windows and audio output, cause that requires batchmode which is a Pro only feature

Asset Server is for editor usage, it has nothing to do with the client at all.
