server/Client scenes, Confirming what I may already know

    I'm having a hard time finding a detailed enough explanation of how strict clients and servers handle scenes; so I just have a single question to ask.

    Is it the case that in an authoritative server model that the server and the client must both have the same scene loaded to operate?

    No. The word "authoritative" essentially just means that the server is in full control of everything that happens.
