    Hi,

I'm not sure if this is already there, but could the scriptable object inspector has a select button? Like the prefab select button.

Sometimes you click on the direct reference objects in the inspector, and you need to return to the SO in the project files.

    Thanks!

If you click on the value of the scriptable object that is set in the object field it will select / highlight that scriptable object asset in your project window. If you double click, it will jump right to selecting that scriptable object and viewing it in the inspector.

And it goes without saying this behaviour is true of all Unity object fields.

    Hi! Thanks for your reply.

Do you mean inside a monobehavior script for example? like attached?

If true, this is not what this post is about, its about the scriptable object asset inspector itself:

    NEVER MIND!

The open button will select the asset anyway! lol More than 7 years and I didn't try to press it. I always thought it will open the script instead, nice :p
