    Introduction & Summary
In one or two sentences, explain who you are and what you are looking for.

I am the owner of a small online game called Open Faldon, a small MMO that is based itself on the genre of games like Runescape, Ultima Online and the original Faldon RPG game.

    Available Positions and Job Descriptions

The job is fully remote and looking for about 10-20 hours a week for a long-term project. The project involves re-creating a legacy game client in Unity C#. The server is already fully done (and in C# .NET) and we have a network protocol that exists with the legacy client that we need to carry over.

    What We Are Looking For

    - Genuine interest in gaming
    - Experience with reverse engineering games
    - Desire to work with an existing team but remake a game according to existing art and specifications
    - Experience working with animations, legacy art (PC1 and PC2 point cache and Lightwave files importef into Unity C#, although we have a program to convert these to JPG or PNG)

    The Company and the Mission
Open Faldon is a 100% free gaming shard and a non for profit designed to keep a retro game alive and well. This leg of the project is to create a more modern gaming client that runs smoothly and in a "large" resolution on Windows 10, Windows 11 and ideally Unix/OSX as well.

    Progress

We have a fully functional server and an existing legacy client (without the original source code). The new client needs to roughly have the same graphics (which are external files we have) as the original and same rough functionality. In short we need someone to recreate the game client in Unity.

Our current state is a client code that is maybe 1-2% done with basic map rendering. You will be working only with myself on the game client, and perhaps one other developer later in the project. We're looking for a Unity lead though and someone with at least a year or more experience in Unity C# and that has published at least one official game in Unity.
