Per title, tested in Chrome and MSIE. This doesn't happen in the other documentation sections, only scripts; could be related to the search feature in the sidebar? Even links in the main body are affected, though. This definitely wasn't an issue a few months ago, and it really hamstrings my reference diving!

Yes, I discovered that the other day. Something to do with the Javascript links they're using now.

Seems to work in Firefox 22.
I know this isn't a solution for ya just throwing it out there.

So it does...I thought I tried that one without success. Doesn't work in Safari or Opera though.

Edit: actually it doesn't work in Firefox--it opens a tab, but it's the same page.

When shift is pressed Opera opens a page in a new tab no matter what. When control+shift are pressed it opens a new tab in the background.

Same here. This is really frustrating when you need to cross reference articles.

Basic web design: Don't take away the user's expectation of how their browser of choice works. JavaScript links destroy that. If they absolutely want stats on links clicked, they could bloody well use web server logs. Download links were equally broken for a while because they didn't work without Google Analytics enabled.
