[We are not affiliated or in any way supported by The Elder Scrolls, Bethesda Game Studios or ZeniMax Media]

We have been working on Scene Doors, a cross-scene doors system designed to mimic those seen in The Elder Scrolls series' for the last few months, and now as we draw to the end of development and the beginning of documentation, we are ready to announce and prepare for the release of the first ever Cross-Scene doors system for Unity.
This upcoming product has already been tested with the default character controller, UFPS and ACParkour, we expect this to be functional with ALL upcoming releases and addons attached to the character object.

Feel free to take a look at what we have so far.

I love these and they are perfect for our needs. I have one question and I have to ask....I am assuming these will work fine over a network? Can you confirm this? I realize additional scripting is needed, just want to make sure since my lead programmer is on an airplane at the moment. :)

We have used them very successfully with Photon Networking, but we have not been able to test on any paid networking solutions yet.
Due to the nature of the loading, depending on how many people you have on each server/world or instance, you may experience lag as multiple scenes will be loaded at once, but we never had this problem when testing and we had 20 clients open all connected to each other, so it would largly depend on your project, but for smaller networked games (at a guess 20-60 people per lobby) would be fine, it could work fine with a much larger number, that would be something you would have to test unfortunately, there are too many variables to factor in to make an accurate assumption.

    Hope it helps.

Yes, it does. Thanks. I am not overly concerned with a little delay. :)

I am also assuming, but should ask, that I can replace the textures of the doors with anything I want.

The art on the screenshots is just an example, it does not come with the system, but everything used to create them can be found on my personal Portfolio, I release a set of 2K HD PBR-ready textures every few days for free commercially.

The texture used on the door in that scene is Medieval Wood, and is located about half way down the page.

We are currently having difficulties with our payment systems, due to the security of the host we are using for our website, PayPal seems unable to properly receive any information from our server, this is a temporary issue that we hope will be solved within the next 48 hours, apologies for any problems this may cause.

    Lovely textures, by the way.

No problem. I will try later or tomorrow. :) Thanks.

To all who purchased - Thank you for standing by through this transaction.
All the payments made through our site have been cancelled and removed, you will need to purchase through the site again in order to download Scene Doors (you will NOT be charged twice).

Um, why is that? And do we have to put in our credit card again? I am confused.

@Teila Yes, we had to reset our payment system in order for the security to allow PayPal through, so unfortunately, you do have to put your details through again, the previous payments have been cancelled so you will not be charged twice.

@Devision4 Yes, this has been fully tested in Unity 5 and we can confirm that every feature does work 100% with Unity 5.

    Apologies again for the delay.

It is all passed through them, we use PayPal payment systems for all charges, even card payments.
If you purchased the product while we were having this problem, you were not charged at all, we removed all pending payment requests and reset the system.
If you repurchase it through our site using the same account, you will only be charged once as the previous payment did not go through.

Okay, I was thinking of the store. Silly me. Dazed from looking college options for one of my kids.

I THINK I bought it...but am looking for my receipt to make sure I did not dream that I bought it. :)

Did you send out receipts at all?

Okay, although I remember so clearly buying it, I can't find any evidence that I bought it. No receipt, no download anywhere so chalk it down to loss of my memory. If you find that I paid for it, let me know and I will buy it again. Otherwise, I will wait for the store and buy it there.

I really hate Paypal so would prefer to buy it somewhere I don't have to use it.

I have just checked our site, and PayPal, no payment was accepted and no receipt sent out (because the payment never went through).
I have heard nothing back from Unity yet about the Asset Store version, probably because they are responding to everyone on the forums about Unity 5.

EDIT: I have just checked the Publishers Asset Store system and Scene Doors is still pending approval from submission a week ago (last saturday), this is one of the longest submissions I have ever seen, just bad timing I guess.

But yes, if you purchase through our site if you don't want to wait (no guarantee Unity will accept it first time round), you can still purchase it through the site, as it didn't go through the first time round, you will only be charged once.

Not a problem, As we are using this in our project, and using it as our Flagship Asset, we will be supporting this for a VERY long time, we have noticed after a lot of research that there is nothing else like this out there, not even for other engines, it seems the only people ever to use this brilliant type of system are Bethesda in The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

As I think I mentioned above, the latest version which has been updated to work with Unity 5 and the New UI, has also been largely optimised for a more efficient and lower process requirement during gameplay.

Great! I really like it and will definitely get it. Still can't figure out why I didn't! lol I do know that my card does not play well with PayPal. I always get notified that I am trying to use the card in another country and I have to push buttons on my phone to approve it. I guess all these Unity purchases from other countries confuse my card holder. lol

My cell phone is almost always dead so I might have missed the call. However, nothing from PayPal either saying it was denied so who knows. It probably just didn't go through.

But that is why I rarely use Paypal for Unity purchases. :)

We have had issues with PayPal in the past, but the reason you never got a confirmation from PayPal was because it was sitting with it's status as Pending, while the purchase request is on Pending, PayPal will ignore it.
We are actually based in the UK, our currency on our site is set to USD because most of the Unity Developers and our previous customers and people who use a lot of our free work (on my portfolio) are primarily based in the US.

We are now taking suggestions for version 1.2f, these are main feature suggestions at the moment so try to stick to large features instead of smaller ones.
This update has no planned release yet, we are still trying to track down the delay with the Asset Store submission, but as soon as the next version is ready, it will be available on both the asset store and our website at http://www.labyrith.co.uk/
