Same look as scene view

How do I create the same look in Game mode as with the Scene view? The scene view has a very high frame rate when moving the camera and I wonder how that is done so I can replicate it for low end devices.

I tried removing all lights but one, disabling all shadows, forward rendering, but it is still slower than the scene view. Any ideas?

    Hey,

Can I get some more info about what scene you're trying to run? Is it a game?

Keep in mind a lot of stuff doesn't exec in edit mode, I would recommend profiling both playmode and edit mode to see where your overheads are. Keep in mind many components won't execute in edit mode unless told to, and functions like Update also behave differently.

It is just a static cockpit scene with not much scripts running. It will be a game eventually but at this stage I am just trying to figure out why the scene view is super fast while game mode is not. I can see that the scene view uses different lighting and perhaps also different shaders.

I will profile edit mode too. Good point, I didn't think of that.

The only real difference I know of it that the scene view doesn't batch, whereas the game view does, and there's no way to disable batching (in shader) in deferred. Can I ask what the actual performance differences are?

I managed to get the performance to be the same now. I had an image effect script running in play mode which I thought was disabled.

To summarize, check the following things to get similar performance as in the editor:

    -Disable all scripts.
    -Disable all image effects.
    -Set rendering to forward.
    -Enable only one light.
    -Disable shadows.
