Hello, is it possible to run unity in a .hta file? That would make unity web player to basically be a standalone app instead of an in-browser game. (Of course it would still be a web browser game)

.hta doesn't seem to have the web player plugin installed and I was wondering if there is a way to do that. I don't know much about hta and there doesn't seem to be much information about it either.

    What I have:
    a .unity3d file downloaded from a website.
a .hta file that I made source code below
UnityObject2.js though nothing is referencing it to it so I don't know what to do with it anyway. Shouldn't be necessary in the first place.

Here's my code: (Very basic and straight forward)

    Thanks

I just made a quick Webplayer build, modified the html file, and saved as .hta. It works and runs the Unity webplayer plugin.

You still need to have Unity webplayer installed for it to work: http://unity3d.com/webplayer

HTAs essentially uses Internet Explorer's html renderer but without having to run the browser.
