Do you have any gameplay videos or demos available? I'm intrigued! I was a big fan of Rampage: World Tour as a kid, and while I have found that it doesn't hold my attention like it did when I was a kid, I'm still interested in the premise. Am I right to assume that your game is inspired by Rampage?

You didn't ask for ideas/suggestions, but I want to share something that popped into my head as I read your description of "survival" mode. It may or may not actually fit into your game, but I'll throw it out there: I love the idea of the monster growing and changing as you move through the game. I was thinking though, what if after you've beaten x levels at the Peak-Tier stage, there's a brief cut-scene that shows a clutch of eggs, and then one of them starts to crack. Then, you play as an Infant-Tier stage monster again, but the enemies are harder than they were the last time you were at this stage. So, as you go through the game, you get to experience phases of being somewhat weak (more difficult) to being super powerful (not necessarily easy, but maybe easier in some ways). People love doing multiple new game+(+++...) runs through FromSoft games, and this could be a way to do something like that.

Anyways, I know it's a little silly to throw out an idea like that when I have no idea what state your game is in or even what kind of game it is really, but your description got my gears turning a bit. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing how this game plays.

I have no gameplay or demos, yet. I was also a fan of Rampage and it did inspire this, along with monster movies and GTA. My favourite thing to do in GTA is try reaching five stars and seeing how long before I die, and that's essentially Survival Mode in my game. Your idea is excellent and would definitely fit this! I will consider using it.

I've decided to incorporate a three round Survival+ Mode, thanks to MoonJelly. After a player wins the first round, the controls switch to a different monster in their Infant stage born inside a different city. Enemies will be more difficult, and to win, players need to defeat an Elder-Tier version of the monster they won the first round with. Same thing for the final round, except to win, players must fight a 2-on-1 battle against an Elder-Tier version of the monster from round two and a Robo-Tier version of the monster from round one.

Below are monster designs for Run Rampant. I want to know everyone's favourite design(s) and their favourite monster overall. My hopes are it's difficult to choose a favourite and not everyone favours the same monster. Ideas to improve these designs are welcome. There's five designs left to create and I'm open to suggestions.

    MONSTER PROFILES (WIP)
    :

    JÉMAX
    INFANT-TIER:
JUVENILE-TIER: (Height: 30m) - Hairless, wrinkled squirrel-like body. Fleshy bearded dragon-like head. Shoots from their mouth a plume of corrosive smoke. Regurgitates a viscous substance to ensnare or suffocate.
PEAK-TIER: (Height: 70m) - Porpoise-like skin. Bear-like body with razor sharp claws. Killer whale-like head with laser beam retinas. Beaver-like tail to defend or bash.

    KASPA’T
INFANT-TIER: (Length: 20ft) - Pterodactyl-like head. Tarantula-like body and appendages. Three legs attached to either side of their lower-body. Three arms on either side of their upper-body. Latches onto surfaces and tears.
    JUVENILE-TIER:
PEAK-TIER: (Height: 70m) - Hairy, frog-like body. Leaps long distances. Triangular head with long, straight beak. Beak opens almost one-hundred-eighty degrees and filled with sharp, jagged teeth. Retractable, shootable spikes from their wrists.

    SIR OLEK
INFANT-TIER: (Height: 10ft) - Winged hummingbird-like creature. Amphibian-like skin. Thin, curved trunk attached to face for stabbing. Human-like arms and legs.
    JUVENILE-TIER:
PEAK-TIER: (Height: 50m) - Eight elephant-like trunks form a ring around their circular body. Rolls or spins through the air using their trunks. Dual lasers shoot from tips of their trunks.

    URU
INFANT-TIER: (Length: 20ft) - Pillbug-like creature. Curls into a circle and launches long distances. Boney, retractable spikes with paralysis inducing venom from their exoskeleton. Sharp beak attached to face.
    JUVENILE-TIER:
PEAK-TIER: (Length: 200m) - Serpent-like body. Three retractable tentacles on either side of their upper-body made of bones and tissue. Tentacles ensnare or stab. Bird-like head with long, downwardly curved beak.

    VIK-VOT
    INFANT-TIER:
JUVENILE-TIER: (Height: 50m) - Feathered Tyrannosaur-like head. Swan-like neck. Herring-like body and wings. Razor sharp talons. Breathes flames.
PEAK-TIER: (Height: 90m) - Winged lobster-like body. Retractable tentacles to whip or ensnare. Three tentacles for legs. Four tentacles for arms. Retractable serpent-like head encased in hard shell. Retractable fang in mouth.

    R.E.D.G.
PEAK-TIER: (Height: 70m) - Robotically-Enhanced Digital Gunner. A bulky, human-shaped robot prototype designed by humans to defeat monsters. Equipped with hi-tech artillery.

I'm glad that you like the "looping life-cycle" idea. It's something that I'd like to incorporate into a (very different) game someday.

The monster designs sound fun and creative, but why not drop some concept art? The pterodactyl tarantula sounds really cool.

I'm glad you like the designs! I have a few siblings who are artists. I'm going to ask them to draw quick sketches for each monster and will post their work once they're done.

Cool. So are they going to be creating the art assets for the game?

You mentioned GTA-- so is this planned to be a 3D game?

It will be 3D with graphics similar to those of Team Fortress 2. I want there to be an in-game gallery for unlockable concept art and my siblings' drawings might end up there. I intend to develop the game myself, mostly.
