As always, massive appreciation and thank you to this forum for being extremely helpful!

This is a short clip of gameplay from my first game, Run For Your Life. Some recently implemented features:

    -explosive barrels
-boost speed + heal up, at cost of player score
    -improved zombie AI
    -second level
-zoom in / out function, may remove, but wanted to try either way

would love any feedback / comments / encouragement :p

Looks fun! Is there going to be ranged weapons or melee weapons with a longer reach?
Seems like you pretty much have to take damage in order to kill the zombies.
Also is there an upgrade to your vision? It seems super limited and dark atm, though it might be different when you're actually playing.

Would love to playtest this if you have something available :)

Also, those blood effects are pretty sweet, what is that? trails?

    Thanks Serinx!

-I'm looking into what I can do to mitigate the damage factor. In theory, if you timed all your hits well, you'd have to really be mobbed up on to be taking damage, but you're not the first person to comment that, so I'm taking it as a genuine issue :p

-Im trying my best to stick to just melee, possibly only just the baseball bat in fact, but I am tempted to try doing different types of melee weapons with different characteristics. The initial "compromise" I had in head, was different types of bats (aluminum; strict upgrade - wiffleball; faster attack, less damage,, etc).

(As for ranged weapons, I want to avoid going that direction, but I do have some props currently in play which deal damage to enemies after having been struck by your attack. Its pretty fun, still a bit of tweaking to do, but it works, and is super satisfying. So I think I'll be exploring that avenue a bit more, as far as how to do ranged combat. Reflecting projectiles from some enemy types is going to feel pretty cool I think.)

-there isn't anything like that in mind at the moment, aside from a zoom-out function which may or may not even stay. On my test machines the brightness is pretty good, it's just the videos I've put up that look extra dark :/

    -I'll PM you shortly!

-Yup, just some basic trails, I'm really happy with the result and it doesn't lag out my laptop like I feared it might.

Thanks a ton for checking it out and the feedback!
