I am trying to setup using the new input system for a flight sim I am making, but the rudder pedals are not on the list of joysticks. I only see my thrustmaster warthog and thrustmaster warthog throttle but not t-rudder pedals. It is on the control panel and I have the correct drivers installed. Is there a limit or something to the number of joysticks the new input system supports or are rudder pedals not supported.

That won't work if I have to patch my game every time a new controller comes out or if I have to spend loads of money buying a copy of every flight related controller in existence and create mappings for them. So there is no way to just work with controllers that the system doesn't already know or I acquaint it with?

ATM we don't yet have dedicated support for the commonly used flight sticks and related controllers and the HID fallback we have has limited ability. So some of the controllers may be incorrectly mapped or not recognized entirely. It's on the list.

My device is showing up in the 'unsupported' list of the input debugger. Is that expected behavior until a layout is written? I don't want to dig into writing a layout if it's not possible through Input System.

Is this still the case? I'm getting reports of rudder pedals not binding to axes but if I don't own any myself, how am I meant to write overrides?

Hi, any movement on this since May, 2020?

I've managed to support flight yokes in our WWI flight sim by using the fallback gamepad and using runtime bindings.

However, as others have pointed out, it's difficult to source rudder pedals just to write my own HID driver. Do you perhaps have an example rudder pedal HID - i.e., the popular Thrustmaster T-Pedals?
