    I'm releasing my open world adventure game on Steam in a few days and I'd like to share what a solo creator can accomplish in less than a year with hard work and having never used Unity before this game. I'd like to thank the online community a lot for assistance in helping me get to this point. =) Enjoy.

    Wow looks good, for a 'first time' you must've had some experience beforehand with modeling, game design etc?

    Actually I had no experience with building any type of game before I started this. I've played games like anybody else, but never built one. I modeled I think one thing before I started this. Although I did use GameGuru for about 5 or so hours before downloading Unity.

    In short though, I basically woke up one day, downloaded Unity and built this. I got a lot of assets off the Unity store to help me get where I wanted quickly. So these models and things you see I got off the Unity store. Although I did model a few things.

    But like I'd tell anybody, getting the assets is the easy part. The challenge becomes getting them all to work together. Not the art of course.

    Released more updates on Steam today.
    Fixes:
    Character kinematics
    replaced untextured bridges and put in new ones
    intro storyline dialogue
    sound volume during splash screen
    colliders in scene 2
    smoothed terrian in areas
    added hd textures to some rocks
    changed textures for certain tree
    moved some objects to objectives
    added tips during intro dialogue for controls

    Solid black in unlit areas kills all the impression. Some kind of indirect lighting would be nice. At least simple gradient-based ambient.
