    Hi,

I am going through Ruby's Adventure, a Unity Tutorial.

Everything works fine. I have a camera, when I press play I see my level.

Then I install cinemachine. I add Cinemachine > Create 2D camera.

I make the camera follow the main character Ruby.

I press play, and i see just a blue screen. My level with everything in it isnt there.

When I press play, the transform of X and Y are changing.
    Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with Ruby's Adventure.
Can you show the full inspector for the vcam?
Also please show your project hierarchy, with Ruby, the main camera, and the vcam visible.
A snapshot of the scene view from the top showing the vcam and its surroundings would also be helpful.

I closed my project without saving the cinemachine stuff.

I reopened Unity and added Cinemachine > 2d camera
And now it works. I don't understand.
I think, it;s maybe because I had two 2dcameras. One was hiding, it was the child of the bot prefab.

Is it supposed to look like this in the game view? A blue rectangle on top of my scene?

What is that Icon next to the normal camera in the hierarchy? I had the same icon before.

    Yes, that's correct.

The red and blue stuff in the game view are guides to indicate your composition settings. You can adjust these by dragging in the game view, or by adjusting the settings in the Framing Transposer section you see in the inspector.

You can turn off the game view guides by clicking the checkbox in the vcam inspector:
