    I've had some down time to kill at work this week and I reworked my diceless rpg engine.

    I could use some input.

    Basically I'm looking to do a play-as-you-will model that increases skills as they're used. Then have an overall character level that adds 1 perk per level. A race with it's own traits. And finally a list of classes that add their own perks.

    So basically a lot like Skyrim, but a lot more streamlined, less pigeon holed, four core stats, and an emphasis on everything having value.

    The skills on the wheel add to the two core stats that it sits between, giving more to the stats that it's closer to.

    EXAMPLE

    The wheel goes:

    Strength
    Two Handed
    One Handed
    Crafting
    Duel Wield
    Marksman
    Agility

    So if you improve Two Handed, 1/4 goes towards agility and 3/4 goes to strength.

    Or

    If you improve crafting 1/2 goes to strength and 1/2 goes to agility.

    Each skill has 4 perks that can be unlocked at 25, 50, 75, and 100.

    Each state has a perk at 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100.

    This gives 100 perks for 100 levels, with the player starting at level 0.

    The perks make sure that every single skill adds to the player regardless if they never use it.

    That said, here's the wheel in it's entirety:

    Strength - adds 2 Health each level

    Two Handed - adds melee force each level

    One Handed - adds attack class each level

    Crafting - Improves crafting mastery

    Duel Wield - Increases attack speed

    Marksman - Increases critical damage

    Agility - Adds 2 Stamina each level

    Stealth - Increases sneak and Lockpick

    Unarmored - Increases attack class for defence when not wearing armor

    Alchemy - Increases alchemy mastery

    Wind - Increases wind mastery and lightning defense

    Water - Increase water mastery and cold defence

    Intelligence - Adds 2 Mana each level

    Fire - Increase fire mastery and fire defence

    Earth - Increase earth mastery and poison defense

    Enchant - increase enchanting mastery

    Arcane - increase arcane mastery and magic defense

    Speech - increase speechcraft abilities and decreases merchant costs

    Will Power - Adds 1 to health, Mana, and stamina

    Dark - Increase dark mastery and tbd

    Light - Increase light mastery and tbd

    Smithing - increase smithing mastery

    Armored - increase attack class for defense when wearing armor

    Block - increase effectiveness of blocking

    Strength (end of wheel)

    A few things

    It should be noted that the four crafting skills (crafting, smithing, enchanting, and alchemy) will also include their own charts with individual levels for type and material. The mastery is an over all bonus.

    Crating as a crafting skill is confusing and may need better naming, but the idea is that this is the skill for improving the aesthetics of items for value and enchanting potential. And is also for leather and wooden items. Definitely can use some cleaning up.

    Dark and Light magics don't have damage types so I'm working on what benefits they can have for everyone.

    Armored and Unarmored are meant to be non exclusive, meaning they're a range between the two. "Light Armor" still implies armor, when it's supposed to be the players ability to dodge and feign, while armored is supposed to be the effectiveness of using armor.

    Melee attacks have various perks based on the stance your character is in. Two Handed increases strength for weapons by 50%, One Handed and nothing in the off hand increases the Attack Class by 50%, Duel Wield increases attack speed by 50%, shields or other off hand items get their own benefits.
