I decided to try start using namespaces for my project, but the root namespace setting doesn't seem to work for me (I'm aware it isn't required). When I put a name into that setting and create a new script it simply doesn't add the namespace.

I looked into the new script template, and it's missing the #ROOTNAMESPACEBEGIN# and #ROOTNAMESPACEEND# tags. If I add them in manually, scripts are made with the tags as text. If I look at the templates of later unity versions such as 2020.2, the tags are there and I assume working.

I have reinstalled 2020.1.17f1 and the issue is still there. A friend has also shown me it working fine on their copy of that version. I have no idea what could possibly be going wrong here.
