Root motion stop working after updating to Unity 2018

    I have a character with some animations that doesn't have root motion on the animation bip. I swear in Unity 2017 I was able to make root motion work by selecting in the motion import settings on the animation and setting it to <root transform>

    Now that I'm on 2018 it doesn't work anymore. Its totally hard to remember though but im pretty sure it used to work.

    wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this.
