Roll A Ball

I have just started on the very first tutorial. All has gone well until trying to get the player object to pick up the cubes Although I have been through the video several times, the player just passes through the cubes rather than deactivating them. I have the cubes correctly tagged, and have set triggers, and written the OnTriggerEvent code. Please advise, as I am keen to move on and this is blocking me. Thank you.
