    Can you try to be a little bit clearer on that! Do you mean that your prefabs appear pink? Most likely you are using the wrong pipeline, Rocky Hills Environment - Mega Pack (no SRP) is made for the Built-in render pipeline, not URP. Rocky Hills Environment - Mega Pack (SRP) is made for the URP and HDRP pipeline with the default pipeline being URP.

    Post some screenshots!

    Here's the fix for URP if you are using this pipeline. Just install this over your URP project!

    • CTI URP fix - 11.26.2021

    URP is fully functional in the newer versions of Unity as well now, use this fix pack if it broke for you! Tested on Unity 2021.2.3f1!

    I'm currently updating Rocky Hills with my new shader since Unity advised me to update for the newest version. Update coming Before July 24. New shader with custom normals.

    Hello,

    I have a lil problem with the CTI HDRP HSLSshaders. The Billboard shader is not compiling, when tree's switch to billboard mode they're just a grey silhouette of the tree. I installed every fix and stuff that was mentioned on the store page, the included readmes and here in this thread. I also tried reimporting the shaders like suggested in the CTI thread.

    The shader is always showing the following error:

    (Note: The same error is for the billboard shaders in the HDRP 7.2 variant, I tried both shaders on the matieral)

    Here is how the trees look then in billboard mode:

    When I move further away all the other trees become the same grey blob too.

    Is there another HDRP shader fix needed or something?

    I'm Using Unity 2021.2.7f with HDRP 12.1.2

    Hi, I haven't seen this bug before, so did you try both versions of the fixes? You need to try one or the other, it varies on every version. I could DM you the version I have in 2021.2.3 but in the meantime, CTI is not made by me, being a third party, you can ask Lars in this thread https://forum.unity.com/threads/released-custom-tree-importer.263224/page-17, he always helps out and knows what to do.

    The author of CTI posted me an HDRP version of his shaders for shadergraph - those are working fine but you have to make a little adjustment to the shdaergraphs work with the textures like they were before. Or extract some alpha textures to separate maps.

    ~Things that still need improving~
    • Check if it works with SRP 13
    • Update the older versions of 2020
    • Add update for built-in
    • Keep improving the (TFS) shaders
    • Make the shaders work with my new wind script and add it
    • Make a brand new HDRP water shader, the old one doesn't really work yet
    • Finish the (TFS) scene
    • Make new cliffs
    • Finish secret scene

    The pack has been tested in Unity 2022.1.0b4 (beta) and works with SRP 13. There shouldn't be any shader breaking issues :)

    Working in Unity 2021.2.3f1 up to 2022.1.0b4 (beta)

    I'm working to bring the new updates for the built-in pipeline now, also if you find the translucency in URP to strong turn it down to about 5 or 7, I forgot to tune the values!

    Hi in HDRP, do you think this asset is compaible with Enviro (HDRP version) and do you think the vegetation (CTI or TFS) will be compatible with Vegetation Engine System ? Thank's

    It should be, any other asset pack that works with the terrain system should work right out of the box. I haven't tested the Vegetation Engine but all the trees have vertex colors so, in theory, it should work. You have two types of shaders (CTI) and (TFS - my shader). Let me know how it goes, I'm offering a refund if it doesn't work out for you.

    Great, if all the shaders are in two versions; CTI and TFS it should works, Vegetation Engine Systeme says that it's compatible with :
    Tobyfredson - Rocky Hills CTI vegetation assets
    Thank's a lot for your reactivity !
    Any chance (otherwise it doesn't matter) Is it possible to download a Build of your youtube demo ?

    Hello, I purchased the Rocky Hills Environment Mega Pack and applied it to the HDRP project. This process is to receive the asset installation->I exported 2021_Shaders fix_b package to my project. ->Check if there is no CTI runtime component URP HLSL.->Scenes_HDRP FallScene Play->But my prefab is still pink. So I put hdrp data one by one in prepab, and I upload it because I think something is wrong. This screen shows the current status of my project.

    Hello, it looks like indeed something went wrong. That is rather strange I don't see any compile errors either. Can you snapshot me the errors if there are any? Also did you try to apply this fix instead? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yeGjFDmQH4OPSd79w3YnXcrQN1c5FRwj/view

    Why are only some of the cliff shaders pink while others aren't? Are you saying you attempted to manually convert the shaders?
    Did you try the step-by-step in a fresh project, just so we can identify the issue?

    First, make sure you install the HDRP installation package from the root folder, then apply the fix. You shouldn't be converting it manually, it should work. :)

    1. There is no error.
    2. That's right. The drive has applied fix_b update. But my UNI.T version is 2020.3 version. Is there a problem with this?
    3. The reason why only some of the shaders are pink is because I applied fix_b update and all the materials came out in pink, so one by one.
    I changed the existing version to hdrp. (ex) I changed the tree to tree_hdrp) I didn't change the rest of the pink, or I didn't know what to change it to because I didn't use a shader called standard.
    4. I'm currently deleting the file and downloading it again from a new project.

    Another new problem. You can see the tree from a distance, but it turns white when you get closer. First, I will experiment with a new project and let you know again. Lastly, I am not familiar with English because I live in Korea. I apologize in advance.



    p.s I couldn't check because I'm reinstalling it now, but I looked it up earlier and found that there was no RHE_MEGA Pack-HDRP SETUP file. Where can I get it from? Is it included in the existing project?

    Oh my god... I thought the rp version and the srp version were the same, but they were different. I'll download the srp version again...

    Oh no they are definitely different, make sure you make a new appropriate template in Unity for the project you are using (core 3d - built-in, URP, or HDRP) then import the appropriate package.

    This is for Built-in only: Rocky Hills Mega Pack
    This is for (SRP) only (URP + HDRP): Rocky Hills Mega Pack (SRP)
    *The SRP version works out of the box with URP, it has an HDRP conversion pack inside but first you need to make an HDRP template and import the pack in that first, then import the "HDRP conversion pack" then after that import the fix for Unity 2020.3. Not, all 3 pipelines are incompatible with echother.

    Sorry for all the confusion!

    Approaching some of the prefabs (cliffs) causes my view to go pitch black. Any ideas what's causing this?

    Hi, what version of Unity do you have? If you downloaded using the using Unity 2021.2.3f1 or higher this problem has been fixed but here's what you can do to stop that from happening in your current version:

    1. Got to your camera and check the "stop screen NaNs" checkbox. This will stop the screen from flickering.

    2. If you own Amplify Shader Editor, just open the shaders and remove the "normal intensity" node from all normal maps. According to some sources and testing, that might be the main cause for the flickering.

    Basically, it happens when there's a out of range value on screen, in my case the normal intensity perhaps.

    Hi, what pipeline and target platform are you trying to use?

    Here's a quick build of a heavy HDRP scene at ultra settings for PC: 40fps for me. This is without any optimization on a I5 pc.

    My new shader (TFS) might possibly be suited for mobile, it has a version for Built in and URP.

    Hello author, great pack btw. I want to go for a simpler stylize look. Do you know a workflow or tool to simplify all the textures's details ? Imagine the manual work will take ages.

    Hello, and thank you! My best guess would be to blur out the texture, then extract the simple cavity map out of the normals with reduced details, and get back some edge details in it. I'd do this in Substance designer.

    I think this sort of look is possible that way.



    As for tools, I haven't looked it up.

    Well, I asked specifically for mobile android. Looking for an APK. The original package used to be with mobile in mind too, but on the updates I see it has become mostly pc oriented and I'm curious to see if I could run this on a regular android device before I purchase it.

    Sorry for the delayed reply, what I meant was, what was your pipeline of choice for the APK? I got it wrong.

    No I haven't tried a APK but I think it might run on 20 to 30fps, that's just my guess. On Pc, URP runs at 60 fps. I don't think any PC build will be helpful for you.

    Yes you are right it was made for PC in mind, I think it's a bit heavy despite it being very low poly. If you use the lowest lods possible and make some optimization it could be possible. I might try to make APK but it won't be to soon so I have two suggestions: A. you can wait a bit longer till there's a APK built or B. you can buy it now and if it doesn't perform you can ask for a refund, in addition I'll give you a free voucher to another pack. ;)

    By the way a side note but I didn't get to update version 2020.x, etc yet, so that's why you have to install the fixes in the description, there's new updates, new shaders, models and scenes if you download this pack with Unity 2021.2.3f1 or above and works right out of the box. :)

    Sorry for maybe waste your time, i have seen the fixes in the thread but as it has "2021" in the name i thought its just for Unity 2021 and the 12.x Version of URP.

    I'm happy with my sales deal and the good support! I will leave you a 5 start review :)
