Thanks! I added some pine trees. Gotta make the textures properly and turn them into trees for Unity. Progress on the Winter map...

Quickly made a bark (wip) for the tree and I'll be using a quick substance that makes needles for the leaves.

Thanks, I recovered the fall map and made it even better, got to finish the winter and we can upload.

Tbh I'm not too proud of my assets, I had to spam a lot of details in order to make it looks more interesting so I'm thinking I need less but better assets which is what I should be doing in the future, I reused the same assets in every way possible and, boy is it hard if your assets aren't made that well. If anything this package has got to be the ultimate recycler of assets of all time. I'll come back with some video footage of the finished fall and summer map later as I keep working on the winter one.

Those roots look so nice! I'm also happy, as a user of this pack, that you keep getting it better and better. More goodies to play with and make terrains look detailed and rich.

My last tree is done, I can now finish the snow map, the last map!

Here's some branch render of the spruce and how the pines look in Unity, no fancy light just default viewport. I might show you something fantastic tomorrow or pretty soon, the result of my hard work!!!

Here's some not so great renders of the pine and how the final bark looks.

When do you think you'll be submitting the update? No rush but I am in the process of reworking my world generation logic and I am really anxious to incorporate this. :)

Hei I'll get to you with a quick reply, short answer, soon! Long answer, I finish both the maps, and I'm almost done with the last winter map, what I can tell you for certain is that after I finish the winter map I'll be getting this bad boy ready for upload. Don't think I can move fast enough to do it this month because the last stage is checking for bugs and issues in general, gotta check and test my shaders too. Btw, I think I might have to do the URP/HDRP pack separately, meaning they will be sold separately from the standard. I'll get back soon with some video footage of my maps to show the progress.

I did some research and I found out how to make really nice and clean videos for my promotional material, unfortunately, it has to be done with cinematic cameras, it doesn't work with gameplay type camera so I made a few blurry vids to show off the finished fall map. Will come back with another video tonight.

    Merry Christmas!

And a look at my rich summer map. The HD version didn't process yet and you tube desaturated the video but it's fine for a preview test.

Happy new year!!! Took a break as well as did some shoulder recovery again. Here's a little update, 3 versions of the spruce for more variation.

Thanks for asking, my shoulder got better after a week and a half but then I had issues with my love life so I needed to recover even longer but I'm feeling better now and got back to work. Here are a few video tests of the snow map.

Question does anyone know how to add snow particles attached to camera work in world space without it spawning as you move, it's really annoying? Local space works fine but the snow is moving and rotating along with the camera and it looks really annoying. If any particle expert has any suggestions I'm all ears!

I have officially finished the last map and last asset of this pack!
Times have been a bit harsh but I did it. I'm considering making a paid upgrade for this pack. Will be back soon with something to show, stay tuned!

The finished pack is finished!! I'm taking a day or two off so I can move on doing the boring parts before upload like shader fix and optimisation.

What do you guys think, should I make a paid upgrade for this pack or should I upgrade for free? What about a short Grace Period of a few days? What do you suggest?

I think a short grace period would be very appreciated. There are a few of us that have been following your excellent work closely, anxiously waiting for this update. I've been waiting on redoing some stuff so I can use this. Normally, I'd be okay with a reasonable upgrade fee for all the hard work you've done but I won't have any funds for another six weeks. I can show my support at that point by picking up the excellent looking Dwarf Expedition pack. However, you definitely do deserve the upgrade fee, so I don't want to prevent you from earning what you deserve. If you don't have a grace period then I'll happily pay it in around six weeks.

Thanks very much for the feedback! I'll give people a grace period of a week or something like that, should be ok so people should pick it up fast when it's out! Don't miss out on it!!

Regarding updates, I'm at the managing assets stage now and I'm working on optimization, apparently, my snow map ruins at 30fps because of the water and ice shader. Easy fix by editing the shaders. Neatly cleaning up my assets as we speak, I don't know how long that would take but hopefully not very long.

Ok, I figured out that transparent shaders are very bad for performance so I'll have to add a distance-based fading for the refraction of the water may be as well as the ice shader. Also, I'm adding a prefab and shader example scene...

Almost done, in the end, I made a mega example asset scene including all meshes, vegetation, and shader showcase.

Good news almost finished, my pack is impeccable and runs well with 2020!! There are a couple of small errors and final checks I'll do but it's mostly ready for upload. I'll be Uploading and submitting within the next few days to weeks, meaning the package will be available this month so stand by!

This looks pretty incredible. An upgrade fee would be expected for the amount of work being done and the quality. I would not hesitate to pick it up during a grace period though.

Thanks, good lighting makes stylized stuff look good too :). I was thinking about it and I don't think I would add a grace period, maybe just one day but maybe not.
Thanks, almost done with the winter too. After I finish I'll upload the pack to the store.

    Here's a quick winter shot.

    Announcement!
Here's what I decided, I'll upload and publish the pack as a brand new version then I'll wait for a little while, maybe a few days to a week, and then link the paid upgrade to it. Since this update was a lot of work, which turned out to be a brand new product in the end, there won't be any grace period. I'll publish it within the next couple of days.

A bit of a drawback concerning the pack approval, I need to remove some problematic files then it's going to be online, hopefully soon but I'm waiting for an email reply back. In the meantime, I acquired a new company partner on voice recording since my voice has too much of a heavy accent to be pleasant to listen to. The quality isn't great but it's ok for our first attempt.

I'm in another weird situation with the approval of my package again regarding third-party issues so this is taking longer than expected. :( I hope things get cleared up sooner, if not it might drag on a bit more...
