Might have a bug for you!

I set up an action based room scale VR rig by following the video below, but I installed the XR Interaction Toolkit "1.0.0-pre.2" instead of "0.10.0-preview.7".

Pressing play revealed that the controller positions were not being updated, although the rotations seemed to work fine. After a bit of troubleshooting, I got the bright idea to use the same version (ie. 0.10.0-preview.7) of the package as the video author, and the positions then started working.

I used the Default Input Actions samples provided by each package version.

I am using a Rift S with Touch controllers on Unity 2020.2.2f1.

I also realized that bugs are supposed to be submitted via the "Help > Report a bug" feature in Unity, so I went ahead and did that.

Looks like I goofed. I had the headset USB connector plugged into something other than a USB 3.0 port which may have been causing problems, because once I made that switch the controller position tracking started working again with 0.10.0-preview.7.
