I'm having this really strange issue that I was hoping someone could help me with.. I've seen numerous people complaining about a similar issue with animations "twitching", but most of the time they were using different animations and the thought was that perhaps it was an issue with animation keyframes, or exporting the animations, or something along those lines...

My problem is, I'm using the Standard Asset animations with a Mixamo character (Erika Archer w/Bow) and I'm getting some serious twitching going on... Perhaps someone might have an idea on how to fix it?

I've tried using other characters with the same results... Am I doing something wrong here? I've been programming quite some time, but I am very new to Unity, so perhaps I missed something.

As a troubleshooting step - after seeing the issue with the mixamo character, what are the results when you replace the mixamo character with ethan? Ethan should be twitchy now right?

Okay, so I just tried it again, from scratch, and yes - Ethan is now twitching just like my Mixamo model was..

However, after playing with it some more (this lead me in the right direction, thanks!) I realized that I had TWO instances of the Animator component in my hierarchy, one on the ThirdPersonController, and one on Erika_Archer herself. Upon removing the Animator from Erika_Archer everything started working fine.

So, not really a "bug" in Unity per se, but a bug in the way I was doing it.

These are the most bugs we encounter. ;)
    Glad you found the solution.

Trust me, I believe you 100% - that's why I HATE posting things like this, but when I'm trying to pickup something new it's hard to know in advance. I spent probably 4 hours on this before posting it, and another 2 or so since before I figured it out. Everything is looking great at the moment, thanks!
