[Resolved] Materials from Maya

    Hey everyone,
    I am sure there is an easy workaround for this, but I am new to Unity. I have materials made in Unity and I apply materials with the same name in Maya. Everything works fine and the correct materials are assigned. If I put a texture map in the material in maya, so I can see what I am doing when setting up UVs with trim sheets, etc, Unity creates a new material with the name of the applied texture instead (even though the actual material name is the same). How can I see the textures that I am working with, but still use the material name when searching for the material on import instead of the applied texture map. The process is very easy...until I need to see what I am doing with the texture.

    Nevermind, just found. Knew there would be an easy oversight. I had the material naming on the model set to base texture instead of model's material.
