Question [RESOLVED] Git diff shows Unity randomly deleting 100s of files at a time, repeatedly

    I discard changes? Seems fine ... for a while.

    I'll go back to git diff? 100 files deleted. Not just meta files but entire prefabs, cs files, etc.

    I tried deleting my entire library folder and anything that said the word cache to regenerate.
    Way better, but still seems to be doing weird things! No cache server or anything funky.

    Ideas? This only happens on 1 out of 2 computers.

    EDIT: OH MAN. I think it was Google Drive that seems to inadvertently been syncing my dir. I remember wondering why I was out of space? Freaking Google Drive. I deleted it and thought I excluded, but seems like it's still fighting to sync remove files.

    Yep, it was. This also resolves my weird random permission issues.

    Thank your past self for having the foresight to use version control! Luckily Google Drive apparently ignored the .git folder!
